La Secretaría de Seguridad Pública y Tránsito Municipal (SSPTM) aseguró en la colonia Centro a Gerardo Martínez Sánchez, de 33 años de edad, como probable responsable de portación de arma de fuego sin licencia.
De acuerdo con el parte informativo, Policías Municipales realizaban un patrullaje de seguridad y vigilancia sobre la calle 13 Poniente a la altura de la calle 13 Sur, cuando se percataron que el tripulante de un vehículo rebasaba a exceso de velocidad a varios automovilistas, para posteriormente incorporarse al carril destinado a la Red Urbana de Transporte Articulado (RUTA).
Tras estos hechos, las Fuerzas Municipales dieron alcance y le marcaron el alto al conductor de un automóvil marca BMW, color gris, modelo 2003, con placas de circulación XVJ8848 del estado de Tlaxcala, para proceder a realizarle una inspección precautoria, encontrando al interior del vehículo un revólver calibre 38 y un cargador abastecido con cinco cartuchos útiles.
Al respecto, Gerardo Martínez Sánchez refirió no contar con la licencia correspondiente para la portación del arma de fuego, por lo que fue asegurado y junto con el arma, los cartuchos y el vehículo, fue puesto a disposición del Ministerio Público para las investigaciones correspondientes.
La Secretaría de Seguridad Pública y Tránsito Municipal mantiene las acciones de vigilancia preventiva, a fin de detectar vehículos sospechosos así como armas y/o sustancias prohibidas.
