Mayor Tony Gali reported that only 12 months in office programs Urban Development, Partial Valsequillo and the historical center, with the order and functionality of the municipality strengthen materialized.
During the opening of the workshop Planning and Historic Urban Landscape Management of the City of Puebla, conducted in coordination with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) and the Management of the Historic Center, President Municipal assured that this workshop will result in benefits for the capital.
He stressed that approaches the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the founding of the city; therefore, reiterated its commitment to work in the conservation and care of historic heritage.
Tony Gali noted that the specialists involved provide ideas for tradition and modernity coexist in harmony with the objective of strengthening the attraction.
Nuria Sanz, Director and UNESCO representative in Mexico, said that Puebla has been noted for its architecture and landscape; in this regard, said that through this exercise may supplement to territorial development.
He also said that urban cultures of other cities heritage to exchange experiences to conceptualize and develop the Conservation Plan Unesco requesting the cities with this name will be known.
Meanwhile, Sergio Vergara, head of the Management of the Historic Center, said that through this workshop the new policies of Unesco study to implement relevant actions in collaboration with subject matter experts, academics, government officials, representatives of the civil society and citizens advice.
He emphasized that Puebla is the first city nationwide to implement this type of work, which will place it on the stage of urban opinion.
The event was attended Mario Riestra, City Clerk; Gabriel Navarro, Secretary of Urban Development and Sustainability; Felipe Delmont, academic and Councilman Felix Hernandez, President of the Commission for Historical Center.
