Interarte is a project approved in the Annual Programme of Cultural Projects of the Chamber of Deputies and the CONACULTA to the Sounds Civil Association and Traditions XXI, being part of the national program Participatory Culture Kids.
This initiative is a socio-cultural approach that contributes to the development of children from educational processes involving interaction with the arts and techniques of journalism to encourage creative expression in schools.
In its first stage, with the support of the Department of Basic Education, Ministry of Education of the State, carrying fifty workshops scheduled in twelve public elementary schools belonging to the Municipal or State System of Puebla. This, 1,700 students are benefiting during the months of November to January this year. The program consists of six workshops: Psychodrama; Creative development through theater; Writing and creative writing; Infantile Digital Journalism (radio mode or press) and digital Photojournalism. Each is developed in nine hours, divided into three sessions.
The workshops are run by artists with experience, such as: Glafira Rocha (playwright); Edgar Avilés (narrator); Arabella Jiménez (radio announcer and producer); Carlos Talancón (writer); Nahieli Castillo (actress) and Victor Hugo Jimenez (film producer). The program is complemented by four workshops sessions (three hours) dedicated to promoting reading by the bookworm Community: Science and culture through reading; Hartaartes. Self-exploration through personality; Spellings narrative and Artiliches (recycled art).
In line educational workshops are aimed at students in fifth and sixth grade. The topics addressed relate to three subjects: Spanish, art education and civic education.
Interarte results are shared with the school community to be programmed in these closing events, where the results of the workshops are presented and delivered a recognition of participating students.
To share with Puebla society the project, in collaboration with the IMACP an exhibition which had its opening on February 5th in the yard of this institution is presented. In this one the most significant project undertaken by students images and works are presented. Event that participants are invited Interarte with educational and cultural authorities of the municipality.
In a second step, Interarte be held in the town of Tlaquepaque in Jalisco in the months of March to June of this year.
