At least five bodies were found in as many unmarked graves in a town in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, reported the attorney of that entity located north of the capital.
Apparently the site was used by the Sinaloa cartel hit men to hide their victims, which could rise to 20 in the next few hours, reported the state institution.
Police officers, accompanied by forensic experts and Army personnel began excavating in the area.
Confessions arrested seven alleged members of the New People group, considered armed wing of the Sinaloa cartel, led locate the burial area used in the last 12 months.
The pits are separated by about 100 meters, five kilometers from the Juárez-Porvenir road in Chihuahua.
