Conaculta will announce illustrated book on Amazon Indians

Kayapó, jíbaros y cashinahuas

A fascinating story about everyday, religious, political and cultural life of the guardians of the largest nature reserve in the world, the inhabitants of the Amazon, is in the book Kayapó, feral and Cashinahua. The Indians of the Amazon, historian Francisco Navarrete, with illustrations by Claudia Navarro, one of the latest titles in the catalog of the General Directorate of Publications (DGP) of Conaculta.

Co-published with Nostra Editions, the work is part of the Stories of Truth, which sets a comprehensive map of the earliest civilizations that more than 20,000 years ago collection were established both in the northern territories of the Americas, in what is now Greenland , Alaska, Canada, United States and Mexico, and Central and South America, in the current territories of Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
