Monday February 9 ripped classes in the first School of Artistic Initiation Associated INBA in Durango, aimed at children 6-9 and 10-13 who wish to take courses in different disciplines for three years.
The school was founded with the purpose of strengthening the country’s art education given by the National Institute of Fine Arts in 2011, which aims to implement a specialized art initiation into cultural centers and cultural centers that stand out for the quality of its academic program path as well as its services and facilities.
Initiation Schools Artistic Associate go through a review process where the cultural centers must meet certain requirements in their classrooms, for example, and have the teachers indicated, said in an interview Pilar Medina, director of center Introduction to Art and Culture (CIAC).

Pilar Medina explained that in Durango already working on a Centro Cultural Initiation, where workshops piano and music theory, piano and flute are provided, as well as ceramic targeting children of 4-14 years.
With this partnership the INBA, said Pilar Medina, the School of Artistic Initiation Associate is aimed at children aged six to nine years in a first category and 10-13 years in a second category, and lasts for three years, with the steps of approach to the arts (one semester); introduction to the artistic field (one semester), introduction to artistic specialty (four semesters).
In parallel to the steps of Introduction to artistic and introduction to artistic fashion specialty field, students must take interdisciplinary art workshops. In the second half, will be held the workshop cultural characterization of the community, whose primary purpose is for students to recognize their social, cultural and natural context and serve them as input for the development of their training experiences.
From the third semester interdisciplinary project workshops will be conducted, which will be developed in articulating issues arising from the interests and circumstances of students.

The school, which may receive a maximum of 250 children, is located in Aquiles Serdan No. 702 Pte., Zona Centro de Durango, in the facilities of Introduction to Art and Culture which has 13 classrooms and a central courtyard.
«The property is an old house which was adapted for school. Nothing is working with the rehabilitation of facilities within the property. We can say that we will rerun the center with this new activity. »
Cultural promoter explained that much of the methodology is based on the play activity and awareness through experimentation, so your kids can express specific content.
Through Initiation Schools Artistic Associate, INBA has developed a model to provide the cultural centers a structure that meets in a more formal way with this initiation into the arts, whose purpose is to detect potential talents, so then transit to formal schools.
