Petróleos Mexicanos y el Instituto Politécnico Nacional celebraron un convenio de colaboración para la formación y especialización de recursos humanos, el desarrollo de tecnología e investigación y la realización de actividades de asesoría y trabajos técnicos.
El acuerdo fue firmado por el director general de Pemex, Emilio Lozoya, en calidad de testigo, así como por el director general del IPN, Enrique Fernández Fassnacht, y el director de Operaciones de Pemex, Carlos Murrieta.
La colaboración con el Politécnico Nacional es fundamental, ya que representará una herramienta clave para afrontar uno de los principales retos que plantea la Reforma Energética para Pemex como es la retención de su talento humano y la capacitación de sus cuadros, señaló Lozoya.
Asimismo, apuntó que dentro del proceso de transformación de Petróleos Mexicanos, resulta esencial impulsar la generación y el desarrollo de tecnología, así como la innovación de sus procesos operativos.
A su vez, Fernández Fassnacht resaltó que este convenio refleja la estrecha colaboración histórica que ha existido entre Pemex y el IPN, y subrayó que la Reforma Energética abre grandes oportunidades para reforzar las relaciones en una amplia diversidad de temas del conocimiento.
En este sentido, apuntó que se promoverán y apoyarán programas conjuntos de investigación tanto científica tecnológica como de ciencias sociales, y precisó que entre los servicios especializados que el Instituto podrá ofrecer se incluyen la verificación y emisión de dictámenes técnicos.
El convenio, el cual abarca los ámbitos académico, científico, tecnológico, humanístico y cultural, fortalecerá los mecanismos de vinculación institucional con el propósito de impulsar el desarrollo estratégico en materia de hidrocarburos y diversas áreas del conocimiento relacionadas con las actividades de la industria petrolera.
De igual modo, establece la realización de cursos y postgrados de especialización, maestría y doctorado, así como la organización de cursos, seminarios, congresos, conferencias y exposiciones.
Para ello, tanto Pemex como el IPN identificarán los proyectos de investigación y desarrollo científico tecnológico que sean de interés común, para lo cual podrán celebrar convenios específicos que permitan la realización de dichos proyectos. La vigencia del acuerdo es hasta fines de 2018.

The agreement was signed by the CEO of Pemex Emilio Lozoya, as a witness, and by the CEO of the IPN, Enrique Fernández Fassnacht, and COO of Pemex, Carlos Murrieta.

In turn, Fassnacht Fernández highlighted that this agreement reflects the close historic partnership that has existed between Pemex and IPN, and stressed that the Energy Reform opens great opportunities to strengthen relations in a wide variety of topics of knowledge.
In this regard, he noted that promote and support joint research programs techno scientific and social sciences, and said that among the specialized services that the Institute will provide verification and issuance of technical reports are included.
The agreement, which covers the academic, scientific, technological, humanistic and cultural fields, strengthen institutional linkage mechanisms in order to promote the strategic development in hydrocarbons and various areas of knowledge related to the activities of the oil industry.
Similarly, states conducting courses and postgraduate specialization, masters and doctoral as well as the organization of courses, seminars, conferences and exhibitions.
To do this, Pemex and the IPN identify research projects and scientific and technological development that are of common interest, which will conclude specific agreements that allow the realization of such projects. The term of the agreement is until the end of 2018.
